The PROFESSIONAL PLUS S12VSI-4 is an Ionisation smoke detector designed for use with a 12 volt alarm system.
This detector uses a dual ionisation chamber to detect smoke at the very early stages of combustion. The dual chamber makes this detector very stable in operation yet provides a rapid response to smoke.
Ionisation detectors are designed to detect particles of smoke but can also detect cooking fumes and would therefore not normally be used close to a cooking environment.
