New auto lift support clamp - lisle # 44870 -
The Lisle # 44870 lift support clamps hold weak gas charged lift supports found on hoods, tailgates, hatchbacks and trunks. The Lisle #44870 lift support clamp securely holds weak lift supports in the extended position. This allows access to engine compartment or rear luggage area. The aluminum body and brass threads prevent damage to the lift support shaft. The colorful flag is used as a reminder to remove the clamp when the job is done. Instructions are as follows:
1. Open hood, tailgate, hatchback or trunk to extend gas strut.
2. Place clamp with 3/8" opening over steel shaft of lift support and position next to body of lift support.
3. Tighten knob until secure.
4. When service is completed remove clamp before closing.
