Designed for use with The Watt Stopper Smartwired Switching System (SWS), the Dataline Switch (HDLSxSS-x) offers flexible and user-friendly lighting control via 1-, 2-, 4-, or 8-button units. The switch connects to a panel via the SWS dataline. Each switch button may be individually programmed (“smartwiredâ€) to control a single relay, group of relays, any channel within a single panel, or the same channel among a network of panels. Easy installation and efficient, simple control in an architecturally pleasing
design makes the switch ideal for any building space. Users can install Dataline Switches into standard wall boxes and daisy chain switches together on the system dataline, eliminating the need for costly home run wiring. Each switch unit contains one master button as well as up to eight individual switch buttons. The master button can be programmed with a choice of functions including RESTORE/All OFF (the default setting), or All OFF, All ON/All OFF, or disabled options. Adjacent to each of the individual
buttons is a bi-color status LED. Users program the individual switch buttons by lifting the switch cover and performing an easy sequence of steps (the master button is programmed via DIP switches on the back of the switch). Dataline Switches offer an array of user-friendly features, including matching screwless wallplates and removable lens caps for ease in labelling individual switch buttons. SWS Dataline Switches offer flexibility to building owners by accommodating the needs of specific occupants while facilitating efficient, area-wide automated lighting control. In addition to the control scenarios available with the SWS system, users can take advantage of the Dataline Switch’s “cleaning†scenario that enables maintenance crews servicing building areas to control the necessary lighting without interfering with the lighting needs of workers staying after hours. Since the switches are easy to configure, building owners and operators can reconfigure lighting control functions as the use of a particular area changes without costly retrofits, the need for a PC, or additional wiring. Dataline Switches are ideal for use in commercial office buildings and any building space where individual occupant lighting control needs are paramount.
