20X neodymium disc tiny 6X1.5MM magnets ndfeb magnet
(a little smaller than 1/4" x 1/16")
If you have not heard of Neodymium (NdFeB) magnets before, not to worry. They are in the family of Rare Earth magnets with Neodymium being the absolute strongest type of magnet available. They are even sometimes called permanent magnets.
This tiny magnet is quite incredible. I used two of them together to suspend a hammer! I tried a single magnet, but the hammer almost hit one of the cats - not a good thing despite what some may think. Using just one I was able to easily hold an insert from The Times. That insert is 8 pages and just under A4 size.
You can use them for science experiments, powerful refrigerator magnets, or who knows. The possibilities are nearly endless. Well, nearly endless for what a magnet can do. After all, a magnet most likely will not stop the conflicts in the world or keep people from having a mullet - but you never know.

Neodymium magnets have an incredibly powerful magnetic field. Extreme care should be taken when dealing with some of the larger sizes. Even a pair of 1/2"x1/8" discs can cause a reasonably uncomfortable pinch. Separating magnets may be difficult and will most likely require that you slide them apart as you probably will not be able to pull them apart.
Neodymium magnets tend to be brittle and can shatter into small pieces if allowed to slam together. They are also not suitable for machining due to their brittle nature. Unless otherwise noted, Neodymium magnets will start to lose their magnetism at temperatures above 80c (176F).
