A truly excellent Brown and Sharpe Model 61, 2-inch micrometer showing a 1923 patent date. The original box is included. Movement is smooth throught its range. Finished metal surfaces are perfect and shiny with no scratches, blemishes or staining. the japanning is 99% . the sole flaw can be seen in the photos-someone has narrowed the anvil head slightly by grinding. This has not affected the measuring surfaces and is a cosmetic flaw. Still a beautiful and accurrate user or addition to a collection.
