On offer is a small machinist's screw jack. These are 3" high in the closed position and 4" in the extended position but you can use packing to get whatever height you need.
In use these are used for supporting long items in a milling vise or work mounted on the crosslide of a lathe. The top is on it's own swivel and is 3/4" in diameter with a small vee machined across the top to locate round bars.
These really are very handy when setting up and machining operations
