Solid wire. To be used with external flux. User determines where solder will flow by applying the flux. Used for copper plumbing (only no-lead formulations), tin plate work and general applications.
Acid Core. Acid flux is contained in wire core. No external flux necessary. General purpose solder for sheet metal work, auto radiator repair, steel gutter, etc. Not for use in electrical applications.
Rosin Core. Rosin flux contained in wire core. Designed for electrical/electronic work, flux residue is noncorrosive and nonconductive. Use on wiring in stereos, motors, appliances, auto batteries, etc.
Silver Solder. Designed for jewelry repair and hobby work.
