Multiple active frequencies allow the user to accurately locate with a minimum of "ghosting" to adjacent lines while maintaining the ability continue locating past faults and poor utility conductors. Passive frequencies identify "live" and charged lines by their naturally occurring electromagnetic fields so with the 50/60 cycle, it allows for line locating without the use of a transmitter.
This unit was only used as a Factory Demo by a Rycom Rep and has since been re-calibrated and includes a 1 year factory Warranty. It is in like new condition with only a few light scuff/scratches. Brand new this unit costs $2195.00 so you are saving $400.00 for a like new locator.
