This engine is manufactured in China in New Holland’s Corporations Shanghai Factory. You can research this facility by looking up .cn/en/news01002.htm. The engine is New Holland’s design and not the engine that was being manufactured at the plant before the sale to New Holland. We choose this engine provides enough power to run a house and commercial applications. This engine can be maintained by anyone who has experience with diesel engines, farm tractors, and brush-type motors. We choose this engine because we supply a lot of generators to Mexico for vacation homes and anyone with experience with diesel generators can work on this engine. This is a 4 cylinder engine similar to those used in farm tractors. It has an iron block, direct injection with swirl combustion chambers made to provide long reliable life.

Do not do business with suppliers that do not carry the replacement parts in the USA. We will gladly email you the parts that we carry because more then affordability back up power is about reliability. We will not send you to a website that discusses the unit but provides no resources to obtain replacement parts. We are aware that generators work in rough environments including temperature changes, high vibration, and other factures that are hard on electrical components.
ST GENERATOR HEAD– We offer this design because it is time tested and is easy to repair. This units runs at 1800 RPM while air cooled consumer generator heads run at 3600RPMs. Please do not confuse this generator with air cooled consumer generators with a expected life of 1000 hours (42 days) if maintained. This generator life is to be over 20 years calculated at an 8 hour running time per day. The ST head has cast iron housing with ball bearing supporting the rotor at each end. The bearings will last for years. They can be easily replaced with off the shelf bearings available at any bearing supply house. This unit has a brush design to make it field repairable by anyone who has worked on farm diesel tractors. By keeping the design simple it can be serviced by anyone with experience in diesel engines without having to remove the generator from the sight.
COOLING– This is a liquid cooled unit. The radiator is mounted to the frame to isolate it from engine vibration. The generator uses closed circuit water filled design that is used in most diesel trucks.
ALTERNATOR- This unit has an automotive type alternator for keeping the battery charged. The alternator is a brush type
FUEL TANK AND CONSUMPTION- The unit contains an 18-gallon fuel tank. The unit will burn .077 gallons of fuel per hour for each kilowatt. If the unit is running a 10KW load (about 83 amps @ 120 volts) it will use 0.77 gallons each hour. At that load the 18-gallon fuel tank will last 23 hours. If you are running at a 20kw load (about 167 amps @120 volts) it will use 1.54 gallons per hour and the 18-gallon tank will last 11.5 hours. Noise and Sound Proof Case The silencing is very effective with a 72-74 db in 7 meters distance that will keep the neighbors happy. The motor generator is mounted inside a durable steel structure. The canopy is corrosion resistant painted with a powder coated rust preventive sealer.
ATS SWITCH- An ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) is 200AMP rated with easy access to the electrical connections. This generator is fully equipped to be used as backup power for homes and commercial applications. Dealers are charging $1000.00 for ATS switches that is part of this unit.
