Used 8" Hartig 32:1 L/D extruder. Has electrically heated liquid cooled non-vented barrel. Direct connected to 700 HP DC motor with SCR control. Includes temperature control panel, but no temperature controllers. Has (2) spare screws. Includes Kreyenborg hydraulic continuous screen changer.
Extruder new 1981, but a new barrel was installed in 2004. Has Lufkin gearbox with 13.234/1 reduction.
Previously used on .91 density polypropylene resins with melt flow index of 2.0-4 at 1360 kilograms per hour. Capacity estimated at 70% of maximum for extruder. Includes hopper/crammer feeder with motor. 480 Volt AC input. Last in operation 7/2005.
