Great potential for craft ideas, framing, storm windows, etc. Acrylic also known as Plexiglass, is characterized by its clarity, colorability and weather resistance. Optically clear, rigid material, resistant to some chemicals like inorganic alkalies such as amonia and diluted acids like sulfuric acid. Acrylic has a light transmittance of 92%, is clearer than glass and will not turn yellow. Acrylic is less than 50% as heavy as glass and 43% as heavy as aluminum.
