1251 ALMASOL HIGH TEMPERATURE LUBRICANT

Red, High Temp NLGI 1 grease, non-EP, with no dropping point. 1251 (NLGI Grade 1) is used in high temperature lubrication such as ovens, kilns, etc. It is designed to provide constant lubrication of bearings at high temperatures where ordinary lubricants would melt and run out, cause bearing failure, downtime and high maintenance costs.
This high temperature grease is formulated with specially selected oil and inorganic thickeners. It has no dropping point and contains ALMASOL, an inorganic lubricating material with a lamellar structure which is high in compressive strength and has slip-planes which slide easily over one another. ALMASOL is chemically inert and has an affinity for metal. 1251 translates into longer bearing life which means less downtime and less problems and costs associates with bearing failures. It resists high temperatures and oxidation and vaporization at high temperatures. Its non-melting base formulation assures that the grease will stay in the bearing and provide constant protection. The ALMASOL particles will minimize friction, withstand high loads and temperatures, provide rust and oxidation inhibitors. This product is designed for central lubrication systems and easy pumpability. 1251 will result in lower maintenance costs through fewer bearing failures, less lubricant used and increased protection leading to fewer shutdowns.
Although this product is formulated with organic thickeners, it contains petroleum oil which under very high temperatures, can ultimately form carbon and residues as do other greases with petroleum oils. May show high starting torques due to heavy oil characteristics. Typical applications include high temperature bearings, kiln car bearings, pellet mills, oven conveyors, lime kilns, exhaust fans, soot blowers, brick and ceramic kilns, plastics, and asphalt plants.
