About 160 letters and numbers 3" tall made of brass. Every vertical edge has a channel in which another letter could be slided and one could form words and sentences. Very efficient way to rapidly mark a lot of things. This set is used but still very clean at maximum 3-4 layers on some letters as far as I can tell and there are some still unused. Regardless if there is too much build-up you can just dip them in acetone or xylene and it will take care of any paint but won't touch the metal stencil. In addition there is about 10-15 smaller letters and numbers of different typeface (Times?).
