Features photographs showing General Motors-Holden's Limited plant at Pagewood, New South Wales, where Hardie's 85% Magnesia Sectional Pipe Covering was chosen for insulating more than 6,000 ft. Insulation contractor is listed as H. D. Cliff
- Advertisement for Hardie's 85% Magnesia Insulation
Features a photograph of hot air ducting and pulverised fuel pipes photographed before sheathing. Tells you that Pyrmont 'B' Power Station used 60,000 Sq Ft of Hardie's 85% Magnesia Insulation. It also says, "More and more Australian industries and electricity undertakings are specifying Hardie's 85% Magnesia Insulation to cut fuel consumption and increases efficiency."
- Ad for Hardie's High Temperature Combination Block Insulation.
It shows a picture of Australian Fertilizers Ltd Contact Acid Plant, Port Kembla, and says that at that plant, Hardie's High Temperature Insulation was used, overlaid with blocks of Hardie's 85% Magnesia Insulation.
Each advertisement also lists supplies/distributors.
There is also a short article entitled "Hume's Asbestos Mining Project in Rhodesia." It's a 3 paragraph article.
CONDITION: These ads are original, in the original trade journal. A year's worth of this trade journal has been bound into this huge book. Advertisements are as pictured. There is some light creasing to most of the pages in these journals. Journals are from a library, and there are stamps, bookplates, and some library marks. A few small edge tears. Removable post-it pads have been used to mark the advertisements.
NOTE: Although it is generally known that 85% Magnesia Insulation contains Asbestos, these ads do NOT say that. Some of the advertisements do list "Asbestos House" in Sydney under where it says that James Hardie & Coy Pty Ltd is the Sole Manufacturer.
