This is a high quality variable speed LINEAR DC power supply hasvery stable voltage up to 12 volts along with very low ripple. The voltage can be set at any of the fixed presets - 3 / 4.5 / 6 / 7.5 / 9 / 12 volts.
We used one of these power supplies to power an ICOM R-75 instead of the standard power supply which has been documented on the Internet to run tbe receiver a little hot. We also use one of these to power our radio accessories at the 12 volt setting.
