Don't get that new Kenwood, Icom or Yeasu handheld radio beat up bouncing around in the truck. Use these tough five watt radios instead. So tough they earned the nickname "the brick". Great for Amateur (ham) radio. So Simple to use. Just turn them on and press the PTT.
These commercial grade radios will work well for two meter Amateur (Ham) applications. One radio has DTMF capabilities. Photo displays actual items! Great for neighborhood watch, public service, amateur radio, ham, business, REACT, Disaster response, feeding kitchens, police departments, fire departments or just plain old hunting and fishing, etc.
All of these radios have been cleaned, bench checked and tested and are some of the nicest P200's we have seen in a while. Band spread is 146-162 megahertz. They are currently programmed to talk to each other on five MURS frequencies and the sixth channel is set to NOAA WX 162.550mhz. Free programming available.
