The C-5 grade (SBP015) has a hardness of 91.3 and TiC and TaC for cutting steel, and is suitable for use uncoated or coated. It is a grade for general purpose machining or finishing that has excellent resistance to flank wear and plastic deformation. SBP015 is perfect for general purpose turning applications at medium speeds from finishing to semi-finishing cuts on stainless steel and steels.
