Engraved on the side opposite fingers: NCS 332 US Pat No. 2,007,887,
Not certain what saw this fit, but......
3 years ago, 2-23-05 to be specific, I corresponded with a gentleman I met while selling vintage boxed Delta parts, here, and we spoke of splitter kickbacks and this is what I can add that he quoted from a manual.
"Used with or without the basket. Floats to accomodate itself to the kerf. Anti kickback fingers adjust to the work. Prevents kicking back against operator. Invaluable when sawing poorly seasoned or warped wood." Thanks Mike.
The part I was listing at the time was built for a No. 1160 or No. 1166, 10" tilting table circular saw. Hopefully you can put the pieces together. Miiiike! Where are you? He'd know. He's the gentleman from 3 years past. Hi Mike!
